We chose to stay here after reviewing several options of hotels and were not disappointed. The staff were helpful and while many will tell you that this hotel is not desirable because it isn't on a motu, we found this to be false. All of the restaurants, except for hotel restaurants, are on the main island, so getting from the hotel to dinner can be a long trip. This hotel has a sister hotel (InterContinental Thalasso) on a motu, which we visited once for a spa day. We were glad we went to visit, but our view of the water and the sunsets were spectacular from our bungalow. Many people may disregard this hotel because it's not new, like its sister hotel (that looked a little like a Las Vegas club to me) but this hotel is beautiful, the decor is authentic, and the facilities are top notch!!
